You have been asked to cover a teacher at the Developing pre-intermediate class.

He has given you the objective and material for the class, but no instructions whatsoever.



Class Learning Objective:

By the end of the lesson, students will be able to describe job responsibilities fairly accurately using modal verbs such as can, could, have to and need to when applying for a job.

NANNY NEEDED – GENEVA, SWITZERLAND

A British family living In Geneva is looking for an experienced nanny to help look after two children aged eight and five years old. The mother is a restaurant owner and the father is the head chef. The family lives close to the city centre, and owns a dog and a cat. They would like the nanny to work mainly in the evenings, with Mondays completely free. This position is suitable for anyone who speaks very good English and French.
